BY COMMITTING AND PARTICIPATING IN THE DETOX CAMPAIGN BY GREENPEACE, MAGLIFICIO RIPA STANDS OUT AS A LEADING WORLDWIDE COMPANY FOR FREE-OF-HAZARDOUS-CHEMICALS FASHION

MAGLIFICIO RIPA meets the challenge by Greenpeace DETOX campaign for implementing production processes and obtaining products without using 11 groups of chemicals that the campaign requires not to use at all. it is not an easy task since a high-level know-how is required in managing raw-materials and running processes.

“We are very proud of participating in the DETOX project by Greenpeace: – says Luca Bianco, the Sole Administrator at Maglificio Ripa SpA – it is an added value to the development path we have always undertaken and which, over the last few years, we have marked as pioneers both for the cutting-edge environmentally-friendly protection of our territory and the eco-conscious production processes. We are very committed for an environmentally-friendly future of the textile and clothing sectors where harmful substances are no longer used to let “green” never go out of fashion”.

Joining the Detox project means either to have already removed 8 groups of polluting and dangerous chemicals from production processes and still work and strive to phase out 3 more groups of substances which are currently difficult if nearly impossible to replace based on today’s technology by the end of 2020. The impact of these 11 groups of substances, still used in the textile industrial processes, is today unanimously known as dangerous on both environment and human beings.

Participation in the Detox Campaign by MAGLIFICIO RIPA has been communicated by Greenpeace on May 31st 2016; besides MAGLIFICIO RIPA, the press release shows other company names that have joined the Detox project by thus acknowledging the more and more “green” path undertaken by the best “made-in-Italy” producing companies.
